Wind

Wind has been our enemy at each of the last few parties!  What do you do when you client's party is outside and your tables are full of decor that ties the theme together and the wind just picks everything up and throws it around?

We improvised!  We filled decorative gable boxes with candy (just before Halloween so it was perfect!) and for yesterday's party we filled personalized cups with decorative duct tape.  It ended up being super cute, but boy did we fight! : )

Happy Sunday!

Love and Sugar Kisses...

As I mentioned in the last post, during the blog conference we met amazing and talented women.  We want to feature these ladies because they quality of work they create is amazing!

One bite of the Chocolate Covered Oreo she made and we were in love.  Not to mention, she has the sweetest personality.  Maria with Love and Sugar Kisses makes beautiful and delicious desserts.

Take a look for yourself...

The detail in Maria's work is incredible.  We recently ordered cupcake toppers and chocolate covered Oreos from her and everyone raved about the taste and the detail.  Please stop by LoveandSugarKisses.com and LoveSugarKisses.blogspot.com learn more!

Our Big News!

Inspiring Giggles was inspired by the laughter of children.   What a sweet sound ... especially those belly laughs! Celebrating a birthday is a BIG DEAL and we have been blessed to help celebrate so many of them with you and your little ones!  Thank you!
So are you ready for some BIG NEWS?

Alexis Campbell Event Styling and Inspiring Giggles have partnered and we are now one! To be perfectly honest, we are still figuring out all of the details ...but, both companies have now merged under the joint ownership of Campbell & Shah!

We are in the process of re-structuring our companies into one (can you hear the big WOO HOO's?) and between that and party planning we've been swamped.  But, that being said, we want to be sure to update our friends with the best information possible via our blog. We want to share parties we have done, highlight vendors and peers that you'd love, and give you a heads up on the newest trends in party planning.

In our endeavor to become effective bloggers, we attended a conference called Blog Fete and spent the weekend with women who have mastered blogging, planning, baking, etc.  We are talking "the cream of the crop!"  And we've learned so much (while sampling oodles of cupcakes and sweets...yummmm!)

So here's the first post ... and hear us loud and clear: we'll be meeting you here every week so come on back!!! But, before we sign off, we want you to know that the merger of Inspiring Giggles and Alexis Campbell Event Styling will mean that the scope of our individual businesses will soon be expanded to help you with any of your upcoming special events.

Thank you for being here!  We cannot even begin to tell you how grateful we are for your support!  The next few blog posts will share a lot of fun stuff, so stay tuned!

Hugs!

Moss Wreath Tutorial

`

We loved having our Fairy Party featured on Pizzazzerie!  Then Hostess with the Mostess did a featured detail post about our Moss wreath.  You've asked for the tutorial so here it is : )  And thanks for that because it forced me to finally get another blog post in! : )

All the items I used were purchased at Michaels:

I bought a 16" foam wreath circle

Hiawatha Moss

9" Letter

I used acrylic paint to paint the letter "G" pink and used left over artificial flowers to add decor on the "G".

I covered sections of the wreath with Aleen's Tacky Glue.  I'm sure spray glue would have been much easier but applying the glue is just my preference.  I sprinkled the moss on top of the glue and added more glue and moss to cover the wreath.  I let it dry overnight then went back and added more to sections that I felt weren't covered well.  This is extremely messy!  So be sure to use a plastic table cloth or garbage bag so you aren't cleaning moss up for days.

The hardest thing for me was getting the "G" centered in the wreath.  I used fishing line to secure the letter from the top and the bottom.  This took several tries.

Finally, I used green raffia to hang the wreath at the party.  It came out cute and with the baby's breath pom poms it was perfect decor above the food table.

: )  Enjoy!
